Turmeric has long been revered as a spice, dye, and remedy to promote health and wellness. It’s THE most popular spice in Indian cuisine and a primary ingredient in curry powders.     Look, this is all very good but curcuminoids are notorious for being biochemically unavailable. You’d need to consume two pounds of it a day to obtain a therapeutic benefit and that would probably blow up your kidneys. Start an informed discussion about bioavailability and maybe these articles/advertisments will carry more weight.

    A man in our support group goes to his home country, India, for several months each year. After he has been there for a week or so, the ravages of peripheral neuropathy are gone. After he comes home, it takes a week or so of eating his American diet, and the neuropathy is back. Every meal he eats in India contains turmeric, which contains curcumin. Anyone suffering from peripheral neuropathy should give turmeric a try.
